Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful?

Before I left to California, I was steadily trying to gain weight & I was obsessed with growing your own food. Self-sufficiency. I theorized that the cure to depression was becoming self-sufficient. I learned that a human has to participate in life – a stewardship, a contribution – i learned that digging your hands into the soil raised serotonin in the brain, vibes to feel happy.

The Russian astronaught who holds the record for the longest time spent in space had to grow wheat to keep himself from feeling depressed (which affected his physical body.)It gave him and his crew something to talk about, and it gave him something to care for.
The body and the mind are connected.

You’re Not Sick – You’re Thirsty!

I feel like it’s my responsibility to share with you a vital routine that we neglect every day. Our body requires at minimum 2 quarts of water a day.

One glass of tap water equal to the amount of 8 fl ounces one hour before & after you eat, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Periods between sessions of eating, drink a glass or two. To be safe, drink extra before a large meal and before bedtime.

I’ve done this for 2 weeks. I’ve had a boost in energy. I can think more clearly, I don’t get a quick to temper. Overall I feel wonderful and beautiful.

On my quest I found this book, titled “You’re Not Sick – You’re Thirsty!” written by a remarkable doctor.

Please share this piece of information with other bloggers you know. This will keep your hydrolic body functioning properly, not to forget to mention that drinking a cold glass of water helps to relax you, it helps to soothe your body, proteins and enzymes work more efficiently, it generates energy, it will boost your mood and help you feel great.

Don’t deny your body what it deserves!! Inexpensive, water is medicine as food is medicine..

Check out his groundbreaking work.

please share and don’t hesitate to follow for generous healthtips, inspiration, poetry & creative writing.

Lots of love, S.S.

Positive Psychology

The study of psychology used to solidify the idea that I had a genetic, predetermined mental neurosis, that my brain functioned abnormally, UNTIL I found a book I had from my library assistant days: Tal Ben Shahar’s “Happier.” It came in a bright yellow cover with red texts. I can’t believe I had this book on me for a year and hadn’t read this doctor’s new theories. Sometimes we find things at the time we need them the most. Before I read the novel, I listened to 8 hrs of this Harvard course I posted here. Wonderful, groundbreaking work.
This new year I wanted to start off acknowledging the best things of last year that made a huge impact on me. The real work is applying what he has to say in your normal life to make a radical change to break the depression, anorexia, drug abuse, alcoholism, or just unhappiness – whatever name your disease.
I feel like it’s my responsibility to share this. Tomorrow, I will share a poem that reveals something good about you.
